Synopsis

Career journalist, Ji-Won, is getting all sorts of menacing phone calls after her latest article busted a kiddie-hooker ring wide open. She switches to a new cell phone number and instead of menacing calls from gangland pimps, she starts getting spooky calls from beyond the grave. Things get worse when she visits her best friend, Ho-Jun, and lets Ho-Jun's daughter answer her cell phone. 

Synopsis

23-year-old Gu-chang has never been kissed and his friends always make fun of him not having a “proper” experience. One day, he picks up a lost purse, which leads him to meet the owner of that purse, Ani. He falls in love with this lovely girl who is also a bit strange and wild. She seems to be a perfect girlfriend for Gu-chang only until he finds that Ani has multiple personality disorder due to a harsh memory of her ex-boyfriend’s death. Ani is just one of her alternative characters, and her real name is Yuri.

Synopsis

The upcoming romantic Korean movie ‘Cyrano Agency’ held the press conference at Ewha 100th Memmorial Hall at Ewha Girls’ High School, Seoul, on August 16. This event is attended by its cast, movie’s crew and reporters. The movie stars Uhm Tae Woong (Queen Seon Duk), Lee Min Jung (Smile), Daniel Choi (High Kick Through the Roof), and Park Shin Hye (You’re Beautiful). The movie inspired by the 1990 French movie entitled ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’, depicts a dating agency with a 99% success rate owned by Uhm’s character and employs Park as a strategist. There is a shy guy (played by Daniel) who doesn’t dare to approach a woman he loves (Lee) directly. He comes to the agency and asks their help to make that woman love him. Then, Uhm’s team plan a game trick to initiate contact. But, in the process Uhm falls for her instead which make the two men begin to compete for her affection. ‘Cyrano Agency’ is scheduled to release in September during the Chuseok holiday weekend.

Synopsis

After losing both her parents, Failan emmigrates to Korea to seek her only remaining relatives. Once she reaches Korea, she finds out that her relatives have moved to Canada well over a year ago. Desperate to stay and make a living in Korea, Failan is forced to have an arranged marriage through a match-making agency. Kang Jae is an old and outdated gangster who has no respect from his peers. Short on money, Kang Jae decides to take on the arranged marriage. Having nothing more than a picture of Kang Jae, Failan spends her days dreaming and wishing that Kang Jae would come to visit her. 1986 Gyunggi Province. The body of a young woman is found brutally raped and murdered. Two months later, a series of rapes and murders commences under similar circumstances. And in a country that had never known such crimes, the dark whispers about a serial murderer grow louder. A special task force is set up in the area, with two local detectives Park Doo-Man (Song Kang-Ho) and Jo Young-Goo (Kim Roe-Ha) joined by a detective from Seoul who requested to be assigned to the case, Seo Tae-Yoon (Kim Sang-Kyung). Park personifies the policeman who goes with his instincts and his fists, bloodily challenging every small-time crook in the area to confess. In contrast, Seo pores over evidentiary documents related to the case and inevitably the clash of styles leads to tense rivalry. From the fact that not a single hair is ever found at the scene, Park takes off to search the area's temples and public baths for people with follicular disease, while Seo finds a pattern in the evidence of women wearing red on a rainy day as the victim's profile. On a rainy day, the detectives set up a trap in order to forestall another murder. The next day however, yet another woman is found murdered - with an umbrella speared through her pubis. The solution to the murders grows fainter and drives the detectives to ever greater despair.

"Little Black Dress" depicts the friendships, jealousies, hopes and failures of four 24-year-old girls. The girls first met as first year students in college. She then becomes the face for a high profile ad campaign and shoots to stardom. Her other 3 friends become jealous of her. Soo-Jin (Cha Ye-Ryeon) holds the most jealousy over Hye-Ji's sudden fame, because she has tried unsuccessfully to become an actress. Soo-Jin has failed many different auditions. Compounding her problems, her father's business has gone bankrupt. Min-Hee (Yoo In-Na) has rich parents, but her parents got divorced. Min-Hee now wants to study abroad, but her poor English skills holds her back.
