| BtoB (비투비, Born to Beat) is a seven-member South Korean boy group formed in 2012 by Cube DC; a sub-label of Cube Entertainment. The group consists of Seo Eunkwang (leader), Lee Minhyuk, Lee Changseob, Lim Hyunsik, Peniel D. Shin, Jung Ilhoon and Yook Sungjae. They debuted on March 22, 2012 on M! Countdown with two title tracks, “Imagine” (a ballad track) and “비밀 (Insane)” (a dance track). Prior to their debut, Cube Entertainment already announced that they’ll be releasing a seven-member male idol group. Before their debut, the boys made a fictional performance on the sitcom, “I Live in Cheongdamdong”. And on March 13, 2012, Cube Entertainment finally notified that the the name of the new male idol group is BtoB (“B-to-B”) meaning “Born to Beat”. And on the same day, a new teaser site www.btobofficial.com was just opened up minutes revealing an ‘ID FILM’ to announce the name of the new group to the world and also to showcase the dance skills of the members. The members’ profiles were revealed on March 18, 2012 on their official homepage. Also, before their debut, BtoB’s Lee Minhyuk and Yook Sungjae have been named the new MCs for SBS MTV‘s “The Show 2”! On March 20th, the boys participated on their first recording as the new MCs for season two of the popular music show. On March 19 and 20 2012, the first and second music video teaser of their debut single were revealed. On March 21 BTOB released their two debut tracks “Imagine” and “비밀 (Insane)” and shortly after that the group held its debut launch showcase live through the official YouTube channel. And on March 22, 2012, the group revealed their “비밀 (Insane)” music video featuring A Pink’s Park Chorong. On the same day, BtoB had their onstage debut on M! Countdown, performing “Imagine” and “비밀 (Insane)”. They also performed on Music Bank on March 23, Show! Music Core on March 24 and on Inkigayo on March 25. On March 24 Cube Entertainment announced the release of BTOB’s debut album will be on April 2 2012, titled Born TO Beat, with two new tracks, “Monday To Sunday” and “Born TO Beat”. On May 2 BTOB released the digital single “아버지”. |

| Cube Entertainment revealed the profiles for the members of its rookie band, BTOB, on its official homepage. In addition, it is planning to reveal their first teaser at 2:00 PM KST. The members’ age ranges from 18 to 23, each showcasing a soft masculine visual and personality. Already Seo Eunkwang, Lim Hyunshik, Lee Minhyuk, and Jung Ilhoon showed off their charismatic appeal and image on jTBC‘s sitcom, ‘I Live in Cheongdamdong‘. The profiles also revealed the three other members: Lee Chang Sub, Yook Sungjae, and Peniel Shin. The agency stated, “With resonating vocals, emotional rapping, and dance genre, they will open a new chapter. The members have excellent skills of being lyricists, composers, and rap making.” BTOB will hold a premium launching show on March 21st and begin their activities at the same time. |

| BtoB will release an Asia special edition album and begin their full-fledged activities throughout Asia. On May 23rd, the rookie group will begin confronting the Asian music market as they will release their special album that will include their single, “Irresistible Lips“. BtoB’s title song, “Irresistible Lips”, has already been revealed through JTBC‘s sitcom, ‘I Live in Cheongdamdong‘, where many of the members have previously attracted much attention as they appeared as the ‘Cheongdam Invincible’ idol group. On May 24th, BtoB will perform in Singapore’s Clarke Quay , appearing to their international fans on stage for the first time at the ‘Music Masters’ global conference. BtoB will release their special album first in Korea on May 23rd and then begin selling in Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Later, it is planned that the album will sell in Malaysia, Indonesia, and China, spreading throughout Asia. |
